I am giving 360 feedback...

Is feedback anonymous?

When setting up their 360 questionnaire, your colleague is required to nominate a minimum of 3 people for each colleague type. Your responses to the questionnaire are not seen in isolation, but instead appear alongside that of their other nominees. Your name and personal details are not included in the 360 feedback report given to your colleague, meaning that any ratings or open ended comments are not in any way connected with you personally.

If you have been nominated as a Manager, this minimum nominee requirement does not apply. This is due to many individuals only having one manager. As the feedback report is presented by colleague type, anonymity may not apply in the same way.

Do I have to participate?

No, participation in the 360 feedback process is optional. Although, as your colleague would have nominated you personally, they therefore see benefit in receiving feedback from you for their personal development.

How long will the process take?

Although this depends on your organisation’s specific 360 design, most participants in the 360 process take approximately 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

Where can I find my login details?

If you have previously used our Carousel 360 system, you can log in using your existing email address and password on the right hand side of the home page. If you have forgotten your password, please use the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link. Once logged in, you will see a link to your colleague’s 360 questionnaire which you can click to access this.

If this is your first time using the Carousel 360 system, you will have received an automatic email containing your login details. Please follow the instructions in this email to access your colleague’s 360 questionnaire.

I have forgotten my password for the Carousel 360 system / I need a password reset.

Please use the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link on the Carousel 360 home page. This will ask for your email address, to allow for an automated email containing a new password to be sent out to you.

Can I go back and change my feedback?

No, you will not be able to change your feedback once you have clicked the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of each page. Please ensure that you are happy with your responses before proceeding to the next page.

Can I take a break during completion?

Yes, if you wish to suspend the questionnaire at any point and come back later, you can do so by clicking ‘Suspend’. You can log back in at a later date and resume completion from where you left off.

What questions will nominees be asked as part of the 360 feedback process?

Nominees will be asked to provide you with feedback on the same competencies and items that you rated your own performance on. In addition, they may also be asked to complete some open ended questions about your performance at work.

What do I do if I have forgotten my password to log in to the system?

If you have already registered on the system but have forgotten your password, please use the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link on the right hand side of the login page.

How many people do I have to nominate to provide me with feedback?

We recommend that you nominate as many colleagues as possible to provide you with feedback to ensure the feedback obtained is of a high quality and obtained from a range of sources. This allows you to make the most out of the 360 feedback process.

To ensure feedback is anonymous, you will also be presented with a minimum number of colleagues that you have to nominate for each category. Please note that you do not have to use all of the categories listed if some of these do not apply to you. The only category which you have to provide nominees for is the ‘Peers’ category, based on the assumption that this category applies to all job roles.

How can I see the status of my feedback?

You can see the current status of your nominees on your ‘Nominees’ page. Simply sign into your account and click on the 360 campaign link. You will then see a list of your nominees, with their current status on the right hand side. The status may vary between ‘not started’, ‘in progress’ or ‘completed’.

Is there a way to prompt my nominees if I am awaiting their feedback?

Yes. If you can see that some of your nominees are yet to provide you with feedback, you can have the system send them a reminder email. To do this, you need to access your nominee page by signing into your account and clicking on the 360 campaign link. Here you will see a list of your nominees and their statuses. To send a reminder email, simply tick the box beside their name under the header ‘Resend email’ and then click ‘Next’ at the bottom of the page.

Can I add more nominees at a later date?

Yes, simply log back into your account, click on the 360 campaign link and you will be automatically taken to your nominee page where you will be able to add any new nominees. Please enter the name and email address of the nominee under the relevant category, and then click ‘Next’ to ensure that the nominee is sent an invitation email and questionnaire link.

How long will the process take?

Although this depends on your organisation’s specific 360 design, most participants in the 360 process take approximately 30 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

We advise that you allow as much time as possible for your colleagues to provide you with feedback. This is to ensure that your colleagues have adequate time in their work schedule to complete the questionnaire for you, meaning you should receive more feedback to use for your personal development.
